Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years since relocating for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
